Description - Delightful Austrian 1920s/ 30s solid silver-gilt box of circular form with hinged lid and thumb piece
lid and side embellished with equisite hand engraved leaf scrolls and floral decoration with the lid having an engine turned pattern
silver-gilt (goldwashed) interior.
Austrian hallmarks with the hoopoe bird for 900/ 1000 solid silver indicating 900/1000 silver fineness, "900" is stamped and the maker's mark "GL".
Condition - In good condition, no nasty dents or dings, splits holes, repairs (there are a couple of minor dints at the base that are only visible from the interior and silver gilt thinning to the lid
hinge is strong shutting the lid securly.
