BATTERY DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
The disposal of any type of disposable and rechargeable battery in Europe is regulated by current regulations
in the European Union. In addition to other requirements, all battery manufacturers and importers are required to pay
for the collection and recycling of their batteries once exhausted. Collection points are available in all countries,
where consumers can dispose of used batteries. Collection points are located in retail stores that
they sell batteries, as well as at municipal waste collection sites; collection points are located in some countries
also in schools and other public buildings.
In all countries, Duracell works with a battery collection and recycling organization that operates according to standards
highly professional to guarantee that the collected batteries are transported, classified and recycled in full
compliance with legal requirements.
Professional battery users are advised to set up internal collections of used batteries, in
collaboration with a collection and recycling body that collects them periodically and free of charge for recycling.
