Like the UD-501, the UD-503 employs the same high-end audio-derived design concept of "dual monaural configuration" and is equipped with two of the latest Asahi Kasei Electronics VERITA AK4490 DAC chips for native playback of advanced DSD 11.2MHz and PCM 384kHz/32bit formats. TEAC-HCLD Circuit" Realizes D/A Converter Section with Superior Expression

The analog output circuit, which can be considered the cornerstone of audio, is newly equipped with four circuits of the TEAC-HCLD circuit, a buffer amplifier with enhanced current transmission, and is fully balanced for XLR balanced output and driven in parallel unbalanced for RCA unbalanced output.
The D/A converter section with expressive power beyond its class has been realized.
