Luftwaffe WW2 , world’s first jet fighter and arguably the best fighter of the war overall from infamous 11./JG7 Yellow 7 at Stendal in Germany, on April 15,1945 shortly after being captured by US forces. ‘Yellow 7’ was flown by Heinz Arnold with 42 victories prior transitioning to the jet.Heinz scored seven jet kills in just three weeks before being posted missing in April 1945. This aircraft was eventually captured by US troops at Lechfeld, Germany and now preserved in the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC.
