For more than fifty years now, traveling across this country in
evangelistic work, I have come in contact and worked with many singing
groups, including soloists, duets, trios, and quartets. I have been privileged to
work with what I counted the best, but one of the groups that stand out as
my favorites, because of their talent and deep spiritual life, is The
Gethsemane Quartet, of Greensboro, North Carolina. 'They wdre recently
with me in meetings in Memphis, Tennessee, and I felt that they did the best
singing that I have heard them do, in the many years that I have known
them.
I count it an honor to be asked to write a word of introduction to this
new album. It is with great joy, on my part, to say a word to send it on its
way—to bless thousands, as the many other records by The Gethsemanes
have done.
May God give them many more years to warm and bless the hearts ot
His people, with their sincere and beautiful music.
