This black capped chickadee is so life like as it hangs out on this piece of “wood”. It is molded in resin from an original sculpture by Don Briddell and then individually hand painted by artists in acrylic paint. Each original piece is uniquely carved by Don Briddell - an award winning artist, who is known for his outdoorsy sculpturing. He started out by carving duck decoys and sold them for $5 a piece. He was 15 years old!

This design comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is #228 of 5000. This would look great indoors or outside. It is free of cracks or scratches. It measures 8” tall by 6.5” wide.

PLEASE NOTE: It was brought to my attention that the tip of the beak looks broken and perhaps retouched. Upon further inspection (with a magnifying glass) I do see where the tip of the beak is damaged and a small chip has exposed the resin underneath. I have added a few new photos (last 5) at the end for better visual. The price has been reduced ($36.99 to $25) to reflect this new development. (Updated-March 30, 2024).
