The outer material is finished with a high-strength 200-denier fabric, and it incorporates the GORE-TEX membrane for superior waterproof and breathable capabilities. The optoelectronic® down filling provides exceptional insulation even in extremely low temperatures. The garment is equipped with Pertex Quantum on the skin side, known for its high tear strength. It features five convenient zipper pockets for small item storage, a length that covers the buttocks, making it suitable for work in extremely cold climates or as cold-weather gear for astronomical observation. The left shoulder carries the ANTARCTICA EXPEDITION patch.

Using the dry climate that facilitates down feather opening and the soft water flowing through this region, down is meticulously cleansed of dirt and dust, resulting in clean, voluminous down that enhances insulation. Clean down wraps the body warmly, providing increased warmth compared to pre-cleansed down.
