This Mark J Scearce julep cup is 3 5/8" tall with a diameter at top of 3" and at bottom of 2 5/8".  It weighs 177 grams, making it very heavy even for one of these cups.

This julep has one of the classic traditional forms with a slightly rolled lip followed by a band of beading, then another band, with the same decoration on the bottom.  This presidential julep cup was made while George Walker Bush was in office.

The cup is engraved on one side with Makers Mark and the logo, and below that with Kentucky straight Bourbon old style Kentucky Whiskey. On the other side it is stamped:  Julep Cup Award/ J.M./ 9-30-99

I have listed a matching cup from 2000 on ebay as well.

The cup is stamped Mark J Scearce, Shelbyville, Kentucky; with an eagle above the initials for Bill Clinton then sterling.
