$10 Banknote


This is the fourth commemorative note issued by the Bank of Canada to mark the sesquicentennial of Confederation. On the face are portraits of MacDonald and Cartier, the fathers of Confederation, as well as portraits of Agnes McPhail, who in 1921 became the first woman MP, and James Gladstone who claimed to be the first Treaty Indian to be appointed to the Senate in 1958 by Diefenbaker. The back design features scenes of Canada including; Coastal Mountains and Capilano Lake, Wheat Fields, The Canadian Shield scenery, The Atlantic Coast, and The Northern Lights.

These notes are in uncirculated condition, and feature the Wilkins / Poloz signature combination.
