Product Description
This is a wood-mounted rarity from The Brownell Co. of Dayton, Ohio, and the U.S. Gauge Co. in NY, dating back to the late 1800s. Brownell specialized in steam engines, boilers, and sawmills, while U.S. Gauge, founded in 1904, became a manufacturer of air pressure and temperature sensing gauges for global markets.

The solid brass and cast iron housing, approximately 10 inches wide, is mounted on a custom-made decorative wood frame with three mounting holes. The dial features “The Brownell Co.,” “Dayton, Ohio,” “U.S Gauge Co. N.Y,” “Made in the U.S.A.,” and “8 1/2 AD-427,” reading up to 30. The brass connection point adds to its durability.

This versatile item appeals to a wide range of designers, from Steam Punk to nautical enthusiasts, making it a fascinating addition to any collection.
