Description - Very rare mid 19th century Victorian solid silver combination vesta box and cigar cutter of rectangular form with two compartments, hinged lids, a cutter and a match striking block

embellished with exquisite bright cut scroll foliate decoration and a circular carouche which has the monogram in no particular order "WG"

Fully hallmarked with the anchor for Birmingham assay, lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, Queen's head, date letter "E" for the year 1853 and the maker's mark "RS" which is Richard Slack.

Condition - Both hinge secure and close both lids securely, no dents, dings, dinks, splits, repairs and the decoration is crisp
