A British army ROYAL ENGINEERS OFFICER'S BRASS BUTTON. This button is small (19mm) in size - of the type worn on the pocket flaps or epaulettes of an officer's service dress tunic. Indian made, and stamped on the reverse 'Rankin & Co, Calcutta' (see photos). Issued and used. Good detail and in good condition for age (WW1 period).
