Description

About This Items

  1. This 0-4-4 Forney steam locomotive with two curved roofs was built by the Portland Company, No. 6 of the Sunday River and Rangeley Lakes (SR&RL) Railroad, which was the largest railroad in the U.S. Maine 2-foot group. This locomotive was originally built as the Sunday River (SR) Railroad's No. 5, but changed its form over time as a result of a rollover accident, a new cab, and the installation of a generator. Among these, the early SR&RL Railroad style, which was relatively neatly equipped with oil lamps, has been modeled. The last of these locomotives was the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington (WW&F) Railroad No. 9, which is now preserved at the WW&F Railroad Museum (Maine, USA), where it can be seen running in its former life. Also, this Portland-built 0-4-4 Forney is a locomotive that was used on all Maine 2-foot railroads, so it is a good locomotive for any occasion if you enjoy that.
