The Ikomat 520/2 is the first in a long line of Ikonta (Ikomat) folding cameras produced by the German company Zeiss Ikon. The first cameras were called Ikonta 520/2, used type 620 films (the modern analogue is type 120) and were able to produce negatives measuring 6x9 cm. This copy is a later version with the ability to produce frames measuring 6x9 cm or 6x6 cm (using the appropriate channel).

Equipped with a COMPUR shutter with the fastest shutter speed of 1/250s and combined with a Tessar 10.5 cm f4.5 asset. Film progress is controlled through windows with a red filter located on the back cover of the camera. It is worth noting that for the skin frame format, when controlling the advance of the film, we use the appropriate window, next to which the size of the negative for which this window is intended is indicated.

Considering its age (the camera is over 80 years old!), this copy is in excellent condition.

Functionality: The case is undamaged, with minor paint abrasions. The original leather covering of the case is in very good condition.

The lens and viewfinder lenses are clean, viewfinder visibility is good - no distortion, focusing and aperture operation is smooth and pleasant. Whole fur,

no damage or holes. The diaphragm blades are dry and free of excess lubrication. The shutter handles the entire range of shutter speeds according to time, almost perfectly.

Disadvantages: There is no leather carrying handle. The latch for closing the film compartment does not close and secure the rear door well.

Lenses combine assets without damage, scratches, chips.
