The  Avalon Press, on the Isle of Wight presents a limited edition poster to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the 1969 Isle Of Wight Festival. 

The  headliner was Bob Dylan making his first public appearance after semi-retiring three years earlier, after a motor cycle accident. 

Fans from across the world invaded the island, after wondering if Dylan would ever perform in public again.

With estimates of 150,000 to 250,000 festival goers, and the population of the island just over 100,000, it was no surprise that a sticker campaign used the slogan

 “HELP BOB DYLAN SINK THE ISLE OF WIGHT ON AUGUST 31^ST”

The poster is a superb reprint of a black and white advertisement which appeared in the International Times prior to the festival.

This new poster printed from original artwork is sharp and clear unlike the original advert printed on newsprint.

In order to make this a truly unique poster it has been enhanced with the addition of vibrant colours.

Printed on a High Quality 200gsm satin paper, it measures 320mm x  450mm matching the original size.
