Limited edition of 510 copies of which this is numbered 120 and signed and dated August 21, 1915 by the author. Also inscribed by author “To Dr & Mrs. Geo. P. Merrill / with much love from / the author. / Sept. 19, 1915” Buff colored boards quarterbound vellum with black titles to spine. Uncut Italian hand made paper.
A poignant and moving memento of poetry by noted plant pathologist, Erwin Frink Smith. Illustrated with a portrait plate of a lady looking out to sea. This is a collection of odes, songs, sonnets and biography, all dedicated to Smith's late wife Charlotte May Buffett. Erwin Frink Smith was known for producing a major role in demonstrating that bacteria can cause plant disease. He was also noted for hiring many female botanists at a time that this was not a common thing to do. A charming collection of poetry. In the original quarter paper vellum with paper covered boards. One inserted loose page of a poem translated by the author into English. There are 2 ribbon bookmarks that have broken off from the binding or were never attached (unknown).
This book came from my great-grandparents estate (the Merrill’s the book is inscribed to).

Shipping outside of the U.S. is handled by the eBay Global Shipping program. I ship to the eBay international shipping clearing house in Kentucky and eBay takes it from there. eBay adds on the extra cost for international shipping and I have no control over that cost or how long it takes. eBay should give you a shipping estimate/total on the listing page for your particular.
