INOFOLIC is recommended for anyone with lower than physiological levels of myo-inositol and folic acid, or who require increased intake of these ingredients. Folic acid belongs to the group of B vitamins and stimulates cell growth. Myo-inositol is a natural substance that is formed in the human body from glucose and is part of the vitamin B complex. Inositol is produced directly by the body from glucose-6-phosphate; therefore, they are often prescribed as a pseudo-vitamin belonging to the group of B vitamins; this is vitamin B8. The richest sources of inositol are cereals, shellfish, and fruits, especially melons and oranges. In addition, it is abundant in meats, especially the liver, which is a major organ of endogenous inositol production. With a diet, an adult gets about one gram of inositol into their body per day in various biochemical forms.
What is Inositol?
Inositol is found in nature in nine different isomeric forms; myo-inositol, which is also used in INOFOLIC® sachets, is the most common and physiologically most important in food and animal tissues. Inositol is produced directly by the body from glucose-6-phosphate; therefore, they are often prescribed as a pseudovitamin belonging to the group of B vitamins; this is vitamin B8.

Inositol plays an essential role in cells as a secondary messenger, inositol phosphate, or phosphatidyl inositol, and phosphatidyl inositol in phosphate form. The cell membrane allows inositol to enter the cell through a sodium-dependent co-transport mechanism.
What is folic acid?
Folic acid is a water-soluble vitamin belonging to the group of B vitamins. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth, normal amino acid synthesis, and proper functioning of the immune system during pregnancy and plays a role in cell division. Folic acid is found in large-leaved green vegetables, liver, eggs, meat, and milk, while fruits are low in it (except oranges). During cooking, almost all of the folate breaks down in a matter of minutes.
A dietary supplement is not a substitute for a mixed diet and a healthy lifestyle.
