Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Ignace Joseph de Claussin' after 'Rembrandt van Rijn'. Ignace Joseph de Claussin (French; 1766-1844) was a collector of Rembrandt etchings and an amateur etcher. Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) is undoubtedly the most famous artist of the dutch Golden age. He made a large oeuvre of prints throughout his live, which are famous sougt after, particularly in early impressions.
