This is the famed Hohner Trumpet Call Model 220. Hohner produced a limited amount of these in 2007 to celebrate the original issue of the legendary Trumpet Call in 1907 as part of their Historical Collection Program. This was a display model in a music store and the instrument has never been played.

Long prized as one of the most beautiful harmonicas in the world with its combination of brilliant trumpet bells, solid brass reed plates and wood resonator box. It is an octave-tuned instrument in C-major and features 40 reeds, 5 specially made brass trumpet bells, and a maple pearwood comb.   It features full concert octave capability, wind-saving valves, and 10 double holes. Replica reed plates are affixed to either side of the comb using the traditional nailing method, then enclosed by two cover plates creating 10 double holes for a total of 40 reeds. It is packaged in wood laser-engraved box.

Although the harmonica itself has never been played, please be aware the wooden box has some light staining inside, and the plastic insert has some imperfections from aging over the years (see photos).

The reeds were tested with a harmonica bellows and all sound in tune and operational, but there is a possibility the valves or reeds might need minor adjustment if anybody was to actually play it. These were primarily produced as display items for their historical significance.

These harmonicas are almost impossible to find, especially models that haven't been played. Will be shipped via USPS Priority mail, fully insured.
