Years before Younce's passing, he shared his vision with son-in-law Ernie Haase about a label based in their hometown of Stow, Ohio. Unfortunately he never saw his dream come to fruition due to a battle with kidney disease that took his life in 2005. However, Haase and producer Wayne Haun believed his vision could still come to life, and in 2008, they began the work to create Stow Town Records. "We took old masters of George's past projects, extracted his voice and performed new tracks.
