Antique Chinese Blue and white rectangular Ink box and cover with hand painted sea and some sort of creature and motifs decoration, also the interior of the box is incised with calligraphy and possibly a poem or the original owners details maybe. This is an original historic artefact and dates to the late 18th to early 19th century during the Jiaqing reign 1796-1820. Please refer to pictures. 100% authentic.

Size: height is 1.75’ Inches or 3.5 cms, . . . . And the length is just under 3.75’ inches or 9.5 cms. . . Depth is 2.75' Iches or 7 cms . . .

Condition: there is kiln grit to the base around the footrim and underside the lid from when it was fired and the lid obviously warped also during the firing and does not quite sit flush to the base, otherwise it is in excellent condition and very nice throughout considering Its age and with no structural damage such as cracks or repairs etc.
