This auction features an awesome pair of 1970s Lowa Alpine mountaineering boots in great pre owned condition.

When you think of quality vintage mountaineering footwear equipment from the early and late 70s only a few names come to mind and are worth considering. One is Scarpa and the other is LOWA.

Since 1923 LOWA has earned reputation for crafting premium outdoor boots and shoes that blend outstanding quality and fit through innovative design and proprietary technology.

The boots offered in this auction code named "The Scout" are a good example of LOWA's outstanding German cobblery skill and craft.

These boots are magnificently robust and virtually impenetrable by natures rough terrains and wilderness.

The Swiss leather is thick and stiff with  tripple stitched Norwegian welts, full length nylon shaft, soft ankle padding and Vibram rock crushing Montagna soles. These boots will out-live you and future generations to come if they are cared for the way they have been for the past 50 years.

Modern mountaineering boot offerings may offer better, newer technology  in terms of wet protection and overall lighter weight, but they lack the superb craftsmanship and supreme durability and longevity these boots offer.
