This footed bowl is 2 1/8" tall with a diameter of 6 3/4" and a weight of 274 grams.

Made of heavy gauge silver, this simple, elegant bowl sits on a round disk with vertical bands.

Donald Sherwood Gilmore was a mid century renaissance man.  He married into and rose to become president of the Upjohn Company; he was  an avid car collector who established the Gilmore Car Museum, currently with over 300 cars; and he worked in silver as another hobby, starting his own shop in Kalamazoo.  He has an interesting life summary on Wikipedia, but I couldn't find out that much about his silver shop.

On the bottom the bowl is marked:  GILMORE CRAFTSMEN STERLING.
