Ghosh Yoga College was established in the
year 1923, by Late Yogendra Bishnu Charan Ghosh, younger brother of Sri Sri
Paramhansa Yogananda, the author of “Autobiography of a Yogi”.
Byamacharya Bishnu Charan Ghosh was the first person to bring the ancient science of Hathayoga from the great sages and holy men -particularly his elder brother Paramhansa Yogananda (author of Autobiography of a Yogi) , to the common people so that the common people could also enjoy the benefits of Hathayoga. He founded Ghosh's Yoga College in 1923 and cured innumerable people of their ailments with the help of Hathayoga His son Mr.Biswanath Ghosh [21.11.1945 - 05.05.2008]continued the work started by his father Bishnu Charan Ghosh in spreading the benefits of Hathayoga. He also organized stunt shows like breaking iron chains , supporting elephant on ton of chest, etc. in Japan and USA.
Mr.Bikram Chowdhury creator of Bikram Yoga was the student of Byamacharya Bishnu Charan Ghosh and his son Mr.Biswanath Ghosh .
