This is a 1/9 scale full detail kit of the historically famous superbike "HRD VINCENT BLACK SHADOW 1948", which was released in 1948 by the British company Vincent HRD, which is said to be the pinnacle of motorcycles.

・We modeled the 1948 model of the earliest model of the famous ``Black Shadow'', which left its name in the history of motorcycles from the post-war period to the 1950s, with a Brampton garter type front fork.

[About HRD VINCENT BLACK SHADOW 1948]

Howard R. Davis, a British racer and former fighter pilot and engineer, founded the motorcycle manufacturer HRD in 1924 to bring high-performance racing and sports bikes to the world. The bikes made there were successful in races and made their performance known to the world, but at the same time the company fell into financial difficulties.

Davis sold the company and it was bought by Phil Vincent, a young engineer aged just 20 who had just graduated from Cambridge University's engineering department, and in 1928, The Vincent HRD Company Ltd was born. There, he began producing many of his ideal racing and sports bikes.

After that, a new engineer, Phil Irving, became involved in engine design, and in 1936, the "Series A Rapide", a 988cc 50 degree V-twin engine that was capable of reaching speeds of 100 miles per hour (160 km/h), was released. , earning it the title of ``fastest sports bike.''

Vincent returned to sports bike production after the turmoil of World War II, and in 1947 released a machine with upgraded specifications such as the Rapide cam, piston, and carburetor, which was upgraded to the Series B. This model, which had almost the same appearance as the Rapide but was equipped with a black-painted engine, was given the name ``Black Shadow.''

The Black Shadow boasted high performance with a top speed of 120 mph (200 km/h), and the name ``Vincent'' came to be positioned as the pinnacle of sports bikes at the time due to its high performance and luxurious feel.

■ The wheels are realistically reproduced with a combination of metal rims, processed stainless steel spokes, and stainless steel pipes.

■ By increasing the power of the Rapide, the brake drum is also equipped with reinforced cooling fins, and this part has been reproduced with a combination of etching and metal parts.

■ The tank mark and emblem, which are different from later models, and the company name logo on the car body are also faithfully reproduced, including the "HRD" stamp.

■ In order to express the atmosphere of the Black Shadow, which boasted the world's best performance at the time and had a luxurious feel commensurate with its performance, we have prepared plated parts for each part.
