Description: This print originates from: J. de Gheyn's famous military handbook, 'Wapenhandelinghe van roers musquetten ende spiessen' (Amsterdam, 1608).

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jacob de Gheyn' after own design. Jacob de Gheyn II (Antwerp c. 1565 - The Hague 1629) was a Dutch painter and engraver, whose work shows the transition from Nothern Mannerism to Dutch Realism over the course of his career. He studied under Hendrik Goltzius in Haarlem.

Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. A soldier presenting his ramrod, while holding his musket.

Condition: Good, given age. Thread margins, laid down on an album sheet with a border drawn around the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
