This is a pair of lamps in an uncommon modern style.   The ceramic parts look like bones... reminds me of the Flintstones or the planet of  the apes set.  They are  really more like modern art.  The shades are obviously influenced by  Jackson Pollack  I date these as late fifties or early sixties.  Again this was an era when interior design took its cue from  current fine art.. The shades need some restoration but they are there so you know the exact intent of whoever made these.  and this was an era when  stuff was made in small shops.. no label or name on them... but not an assembly line item.  I am not sure if the shades are parchment or they may be  fiberglass or some other space age modern material as they were wont to do  at this time... I have had these for 20 years and always loved them but time for a new home... I used them with the shades as is  the damaged  part just turned to the wall... any questions please ask   thanks
