The latest model koto rompler/synth from legendary/obscure Japanese manufacturer Suikohsha. Originally designed as a learning instrument for traditional shigin poetry music, this synth has 128 timbres/sounds, more than any other Suiko model. Its sound library covers a range of traditional Japanese instruments, but also has many abstract sounds. It's great for exotic and novel timbres, and has a cold, dark character that makes it feel like a Mellotron from another universe.

The instrument itself is easy to play: you select a key and scale, and sweep the keys in a "glissando" style. This gives you an Omnichord-like strum. It also has a polyphonic mode for chords. You can also change the decay of sounds. Other features include a mic input, note recording, and playback of built-in accompaniment songs.

This specific synth also includes an official factory-installed expansion: a USB port for playback and re-pitching of your own audio files. Great for electronic, glitch, vaporwave, or just messing around. :)

The synth is in near-mint condition and operates normally. Includes the original box and all manuals/songbooks, plus a US power adapter. Batteries not included.
