Maxfield Parrish’s “The Little Peach” - Original Period-Framed Color Illustration (facing page 96) from the 1922 Edition of Eugene Field’s ‘Poems Of Childhood’. Image size is 7 1/2”x 5 1/4”. Outermost frame dimensions are 8 1/2”x 5 3/4”. The color and condition are excellent. The frame is a repurposed photo frame from the early 1920’s, thought it worked well. MP signature bottom right corner (photo #6). Note: The first 10 photos are taken without glass to avoid reflection/glare issues. It is backed with acid-free rag board, new hardware and dustcover February, 2024 and ready to hang. Photos #11 (slight angle) 12 & 13 after completion of project. ‘Little Peach’ was never issued as a sale-able period print; it first appeared in the March, 1903 issue of ‘Ladies Home Journal’ as a black & white frontispiece, then as an illustration in the ‘Poems Of Childhood’ editions. It’s downright Cute. Note: The last 2 photos, the book itself, are shown for provenance, the book is ‘Not’ included, the two pages of the poem (photos 14 & 15) ‘Will’ be included.
