This work is devoted to the most vivid, turning point and tragic events of the first quarter of the 20th century in the history of Russia related to the Civil War (1917-1922/23). Most of the characters of the work are real, famous or little -known historical personalities - officers, soldiers, military leaders, poets, public figures - who lived and fought in those distant tragic years. D. Abramov reconstructs events, revealing the "white spots" of the era that changed the historical fate of Russia. In his new book, which is a kind of continuation of labor "First World War. Mission of Russia", D. Abramov used a wide range of historical sources and special literature: materials of the State Military Historical Archive, cartographic and topographic materials, memoirs, rare publications, information from information from special publications, pre -revolutionary newspapers and others. The main goal that the author set for himself was to show the historical messianic role of Russia, "rising on its hinders" and changed the whole world.
