Description
Pioneer DJ and NAGAOKA jointly developed this stereo cartridge ideal for DJ applications. It achieves both high output and high resolution sound quality and suppresses needle skipping, which was originally considered difficult to achieve. Even during the intense movements characteristic of DJing, such as scratch playing and back cueing, needle skipping is suppressed while maintaining high sound quality. High output of 9.5 mV / 1kHz.
Suppresses needle skipping during scratch playing and back cueing
The materials and shapes of various parts, such as damper rubbers and wires, were carefully selected, and adjustments were repeatedly made down to the smallest details, such as the angles at which the parts are attached to each other, to arrive at the optimal combination of the elements that make up the product. Even during the intense movements characteristic of DJ play, such as scratching, which involves moving the record back and forth while playing, and back cueing, which places a heavy burden on the needle spinning at high speed, the needle skipping is suppressed while maintaining high sound quality.

High output and high resolution sound quality for analog sound that resonates even in large spaces
By assembling carefully selected coils and magnets in optimal positions, a high output sound of 9.5mv is realized, which resonates powerfully even in large spaces such as clubs, and a high resolution sound quality that faithfully reproduces the original sound of analog records. In addition, the control disc (*1) signal can be reliably traced for accurate and accurate playback of DJ software installed on a PC/Mac, even when DJ software is controlled by turntables.
(*1) An analog record with time codes recorded on it used to control music files on a PC/Mac.

Design with enhanced needle tip visibility
The needle tip unit is designed to suit the unique style of DJs, who play music from a targeted playback position in a short period of time. The parts of the needle tip unit are made of a blue translucent material that makes it easy to see the grooves on the record disc, and the tip of the needle is colored white so that the position of the needle tip can be precisely identified.
