Traditional Lacquer Iromiyabi
A series of writing instruments expressing the traditional Japanese " Iro" (color) and "Miyabi" (elegance and beauty) in colored lacquer.

The body is made of ebonite, and colored urushi lacquer is applied and polished many times using the "Ishime-nuri" technique, which is a lacquer painting technique where the surface of the lacquer becomes uneven like the skin of a stone. The nib is equipped with Sailor's original 21-karat gold nib for a supple writing feel. The nib is of an extra-large size and has a bicolor finish, giving the pen a sense of dignity. This product is the work of Kobayashi Isana, an artist living in Kaga City who has been involved in the lacquer craft for nearly 30 years.
