For your consideration is this Nakamichi ZX-7 discrete head cassette tape deck that works great, however, it's been several years since any tuning, or adjustments service on the deck. It makes a sound while playing in the cassette probably for sitting idol for years. Likely, once used for awhile that sound, noise will disappear. The same thing happens with amplifiers and preamps, other electrical electronics if not used regularly. The belts seem fine. Service hasn't been performed on this for several years, if ever. It has been setting in a cabinet for about 8-9 years unused, maybe longer. There are a couple or so nicks 1-2, maybe 3mm on the front top front edge of the front panel, and a hairline 2 1/2 maybe 3" long scratch across the top cover. Note the photos. It has normal ware from years of use. I just checked the belts and they look find. I see no broken parts, no cracks, or paint chips or deep scratches. Overall it's a nice vintage ZX-7 deck. It records and play fine but maybe service this wonderful top the line Nalamichi cassette deck. Both tape heads have been demagnetized recently.

The price is low enough where someone could have it serviced and still end up with a great deal.

** If someone doesn't take this shortly I intend on having it serviced locally. Both the owner and his top tech have Nakamichi decks for years. I hadn't know that until last week.  They have worked on many tape decks over several year. The price will go up according what that cost.

There are three shipping options. I almost always prefer FedEx ground whenever possible with medium to large size items. Much fewer insurance issues and damage reported.

  Thank you.
