This auction is for a 10 3/8" X 7/8" English cobalt blue on white transferware plate in the Byzantium pattern by Cauldon.  The cobalt blue makes a beautiful scenic pattern on a white ground.  This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing, and only a few very, very faint scratches.  Please see the attached photos to see how pretty this piece is and to see the printed backstamp.  This platter also has two incised backstamps that I had trouble capturing in a photo.  The incised backstamps read "CAULDON" over some design that I think is a pennant and "8/77".  My photo of the full plate has a white spot which is a glare from the overhead light.    Some of my other photos have shadows.  This plate does NOT!  The cobalt blue is not faded and is bright and beautiful!
