For your consideration is a pair of vintage iron candlestick holders finished with hand applied decorative gold leaf. An impressive set that is highly ornate in the Baroque style, the well crafted candlesticks are beautifully cast in the form of cherubs set before a trail of stylized ivy leaves. Standing approximately 12" in height, each side of the triangular base measures 5" in length, each weighing 2.5 pounds. Some expected age related loss and wear is seen to the gold leaf, but this is mild and is not immediately noticed or distracting. Otherwise the condition is excellent and they present themselves very well. Their precise age is unknown but they are obviously quite old, no manufacturers hallmark was found. Wear is commensurate to age and history of use so please regard the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
