Betadine Solution Antimicrobial Skin Wound Disinfectant with Iodine

Content of the set: 2 x 1000ml (33.8 fl oz) wound disinfectant solution

Betadine solution is a potent antimicrobial disinfectant with a broad spectrum of action, suitable for disinfecting both skin and mucous membranes.

Containing 10 mg/ml of free active iodine, Betadine Solution effectively eliminates a wide range of bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa.

Antimicrobial Spectrum:

- Bactericidal,

- Fungicidal,

- Selective virucidal,

- Protocidal.

Recommended Uses:

- For aseptic wound care, treating burned skin, mucous membrane disinfection, and bacterial and fungal skin infections, a 10% diluted solution (1:10 ratio with water) is recommended.

- When applying to intact skin for surgical site disinfection, undiluted solution should be used with an exposure time of at least 1-2 minutes.

First Aid:

In case of accidental skin contact, wash the skin with water and soap. If symptoms occur, seek medical attention.

If the solution comes into contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water. For better effectiveness, periodically lift the upper and lower eyelids. If wearing contact lenses, remove them and continue rinsing for several minutes with eye-rinsing solution or water.

If ingested, carefully rinse the mouth with water. If symptoms occur or a large amount has been swallowed, seek medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Do not induce vomiting.

Storage and Handling:

Betadine solution should be applied undiluted or in a 1% (1:1 ratio) diluted solution, depending on the application area:

For procedures such as injections, punctures, blood collection, transfusions, infusions, and biopsies, as well as before surgeries for disinfecting surgical skin surfaces on intact skin, it should be used undiluted with an exposure time of at least 1-2 minutes after application.

The dark brown color of Betadine solution indicates its effectiveness. A fading color signals decreasing antimicrobial activity. Exposure to light and temperatures exceeding 40°C accelerate the degradation of the solution.

It can be stored for up to 3 years in its original, intact packaging, protected from light, in a dry, cool place.

Shelf Life:

When stored in its original, intact packaging, protected from light, in a dry, cool place, Betadine Solution can be stored for up to 3 years.
