Offered here is a very ornate Victorian vanity mirror with cast brass metal framing and beveled glass.  It measures 8-1/2” x 12” over all with glass measuring 4” x 6”.  The frame is gilded and there is a good bit of tarnish – I haven’t done more than clean the dust and cobwebs from the frame but I’m thinking a good brass cleaner should certainly brighten the overall appearance.  The easel “tail” folds down for ease of storage and the frame is marked U.S.A. on the back left and 8655 in the back pediment.  The cardboard backing has a hole at the upper center and there are rub marks from the back being opened/closed over the years.  This wonderful mirror came to me at a local estate sale – it had been stored in the tack shed for more than 75 years.
