Description - Late 19th century solid silver desk blotter cover with stunning hand pierced and embossed decoration in the Art Nouveau manner, with draping orchids, flower heads, trellis and C-scrolls

Fully hallmarked with the leopards head for London assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade solid sterling silver, the date letter "U" or the year 1895 and the maker's mark "W.C" which is William Comyns & Sons

Condition - Silver is in very good condition, there is a dent to the cartouche, which can be pushed out

none of the openwork seems to be damaged

the leather is very tired.
