In very good condition, an antique chromolithograph entitled "The Air that led to Victory" after the original painting by Edmond Richard White (no dates). The picture depicts some Chelsea Pensioners reminiscing on a past war, possibly the Crimean campaign in the 1850's. The picture was published as a supplement to the Boy's Own Paper and dates to 1885. The original painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1882. The size of the picture is 15.2 cm x 25.2 cm with margins of 1.2 cm or greater. Edmond Richard White was a well regarded Victorian artist and exhibited 16 times at the Royal Academy. Unfortunately little else is known about him.
