In very good condition, an antique chromolithograph entitled "Miss Ellen Terry as Margaret", first shown in Pen and Pencil Magazine in 1885, after an original photograph by Window and Grove. The chromolithograph was actually made by Maclure, Macdonald & Co. of Glasgow. The role of Margaret features in an adaptation of Goethe's Faust. The size of the picture is 25.2 cm x 17.9 cm with margins of 2.9 cm or greater. Dame Alice Ellen Terry (1847-1928) was a leading English actress of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She specialised in both comic and Shakespearian roles, and even made appearances in early silent movies.
