It is made by hot forging and is equipped with a single elastic band. This combination guarantees less friction with the cylinder and consequently a higher yield, combined with greater resistance and reliability. The kit, in addition to the piston itself, contains the piston pin, the piston pin retaining rings and the piston ring kit. The elements just mentioned are replaceable and interchangeable if necessary. The High Performance line offered by Athena is composed of a complete range of cast pistons for the main 2 and 4-stroke Off-Road models produced thanks to a revolutionary computerized technology that ensures dimensional production tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. The balance between the materials used in the production phase (silicon, copper, nickel and aluminum alloys) allows Athena pistons to reach a level of reliability equal to the original and to guarantee at the same time greater resistance and excellent performance.
