This listing is for an antique bronze ashtray picturing the Jewish refugee ship the Kedmah on the front of this ashtray. This ship brought Jewish refugees from Europe to settle what was then called Palestine and later the State of Israel. This ship was owned by the ZIM Palestine Navigation Company and worked from around 1947-1950 transporting Jewish refugees after the Holocaust. The S.S. Kedmah was ZIM's first passenger ship. The company was later renamed ZIM Israel Navigation Company.

This ashtray measures 4 7/16" x 2 15/16". There is some discoloration to the metal as can be seen in the photos. It doesn't look like this ashtray was every used.
