1866 Geneva Cast Iron Hand Fluter Rocking Clothes Crimper Floating Pleat Iron

Antique Cast Iron Geneva Crimping/PLEATING ROCKING HAND FLUTER.
A fluter was used to crimp and pleat material. The corrugated base was heated on a stove, the material placed on the base and the handheld rocker moved back and forth to crimp/pleat it. It was made in Geneva, IL and measures as follows: base 3.5" x 5.75" & fluter 4H x 4L x 3W. It weighs approx 4.5lbs. 

Noting there is a stain on the top and wear and chips to the gold finish
Geneva ILL on top of the handle, Geneva Hand Fluter underneath, Heat This Pat'd 1886 underneath the base.
