This product used to be known as Arita ware, but strictly speaking, it is Hasami ware. This product is manufactured at a place called Tanshin Kiln in Hasami Town. Hasami ware is ceramics made in the vicinity of Hasami Town, which is located in the north-central part of Nagasaki Prefecture.

It has a history of more than 400 years and still boasts a market share of about 16% of daily tableware, but it has a long history of being sold as "Arita ware" and its name has rarely appeared until recent years.
