■Professional Drum Pads

The PADS feature a total of eight pads: two rimmed pads and six main pads. Each pad is bordered by blue LEDs and designed to ensure reliable play even on a dimly lit stage. The PADS are suitable for everyone, from beginners to top-level players.

■Versatile Expandability

On the back of SamplePad Pro are two trigger input jacks for expansion, and one each for kick and hi-hat pedal inputs. The trigger input jacks can be used to add cymbal pads, snare pads, tom pads, and more. One of them can also be connected to a dual-zone pad. The pedal input jack for kick can be switched between switch and trigger. An on/off type footswitch or trigger pad can be connected. The hi-hat pedal input jack is switchable between switch and continuous. An on/off type footswitch or continuous type pedal can be connected, and if a continuous type pedal is connected, five different tones can be assigned depending on the state of the pedal, such as "closed," "open," and "half open. By connecting these pads and pedals, the unit can be set up as a full-fledged electronic drum kit.

■Built-in sounds and original sounds

Equipped with a USB MIDI port, the KONTAKT can be connected to a PC or iOS device to control music software as a MIDI controller. The MIDI input/output jack allows you to play an external MIDI sound source or play SamplePad Pro sounds from an external sequencer. A headphone jack and external input jack are also provided. The headphone jack and external input jack make it easy to monitor on stage, or to play and practice along with the music on a portable music player.
