Antique 1920s Wicker Expandable/Folding Cabinet, Vintage Sewing/Craft Storage, Shabby Chic Bathroom, Cottage Decor, Quaint Original

A charming century-old piece that is both lovely as well as functional.  This 4-drawer storage table measures 31 3/4" in height, has an outside width and length of 16 1/2" and expands smoothly out to a full 32 1/2" in length, accessed by pulling an attached wicker ring.  The weave appears intact except for two tiny spots where the braid has completely split, located on the inside of the lowest basket (see photo #12).  These are not noticeable to casual glance.  Absolutely no holes or tears in the cabinet weave.  Turned wood posts are slim and elegant.  Original chippy antique (leaded) white paint.  Each of the 4 drawers are 5 1/4" deep, with an inside usable dimension of 14 3/4" in both width and length.  The bottom of the two top drawers is lightly marked, but the wood here can easily be repainted if so desired.  The top lid is unattached due to years of use, but the piece retains both its charm and utility, and replacement of the hinges could easily be done as part of any restoration project.

We see this cabinet as a nice accent in a vintage bathroom setting, possibly holding towels, washcloths and other grooming items, as a knitting/sewing/craft storage unit or perhaps, after restoration, an antique nursery supplies and accessories stand.  A lovely way to add a cottage, shabby chic vibe to a home or other living space.
