Etelka Gerster (1855-1920) was a Hungarian soprano who debuted in Italy in 1976 and sang in London the following year. In 1978 she performed at the Academy of Music where she was considered one of the leading opera singers of her time.

A rare image of a successful but largely forgotten opera star of the 19th century.
