Map is approximately 22” x 34”.

The National Geographic is known for it's fine maps & detailed information. Supplement to the National Geographic Magazine; magazine is not included.

A map for every visitor to, or hiker in, or dreamer of, the majestic Grand Canyon. The map-side, titled “The Heart of the Grand Canyon” is a classic National Geographic map of the canyon from the Kaibab Plateau high on the North Rim to the Coconino Plateau on the South Rim. Points in the canyon are identified as well as roadways, the villages on both rims, plus other points of interest (including the emergency telephone on the trail between the rims). The reverse-side is titled “The Grand Canyon of the Colorado” contains a scan of the canyon from 570 miles in space, a 10,700 square mile computer generated mosaic of the canyon, from Lee's Ferry (east) to Lake Mead (west). There is also a wealth of information in a narrative about the formation of the canyon in stages from 30 million years ago to the present, what is to be seen in the canyon, and a cross section of the canyon.
