This rare DVD captures all the Hollywood glamour and excitement of
the 50th anniversary of King Kong held at Grauman’s Chinese theater
back in 1983. The un-edited TV network footage was save from being thrown away
and lost forever by the famous film historian, Bob Burns. Now you can own a
piece of Kong history.
The footage shows a wide variety of film stars arriving at the theater, interviews with some of the people who worked on the film along with interviews with Ray Harryhausen, Ray Bradbury, Darlene O’Brien and more. The hi-lite of the footage is the arrival of Fay Wray and her interview with Leonard Maltin. You won’t want to miss out in adding this historical footage to your Kong collection.
Along with the Hollywood footage are two TV clips from other network coverage of the event, one being Entertainment Tonight with Mary Hart. A great piece of Kong history and something a die-hard Kong collector would love to own
