Not a lot is known about this piece, although here iswhat I could dig up about this particular maker: Designed in 1937, pocket,table and lighter case models of the Hinkmann & Rahmede semi-automaticlighter mechanism were produced. These lighters are often unbranded or simplymarked "HR" on the bottom. Pocket models exported to Great Britainbefore World War 2 were branded "The Lastlong Lighter". Versionsproduced during the Soviet-era were branded "Elfa". (EB)
